Whether you are French or foreigner, beginner or advanced, the Usine à Chapeaux offers group French courses, run by our volunteers and suited to all levels.
Improve your spoken and written French by working with real-life situations. Develop your independence and/or your social and professional integration.

For French and non-French speakers
- Learning French and literacy to B2 level
For non-French speakers
Our courses combine oral and written language learning or improvement. The work will be unique and adapted to each student’s level. They are based on real-life situations or texts, articles, poems… or on the basics of spelling and grammar.
coffee and conversation workshop
- Coffee Babel
Every Monday alternating afternoon and evening every other week (outside school holidays). Find the Coffee Babel in our calendar.
We offer our learners coffee and conversation workshop. The purpose of this time is to learn through discussion. Over a drink and a friendly setting, volunteers and participants offer everyday life themes as support. Everyone can intervene at their own pace to improve their understanding and oral expression of the French language, but also enrich their vocabulary. Do not hesitate to express your desire to participate during your level test, we will give you the timetable ans detailed informations.

PRICING
The courses are free and given by volunteer teachers. They are reserved for members of the association (annual fee: 15€ for individuals and 40€ for families).
A placement test must be taken before signing up (re-opening of registration on 27 August 2025).
